Abstract
Glassy cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix is very rare and poorly differentiated adenosquamous cell carcinoma. The histologic appearance is distinctive which is characterized by 1) cells with moderate amount of cytoplasm having a ground glass or finely granular appearance, 2) distinct cell mass that stains with eosin and periodic-acid Schiff (PAS), 3) enlarged nuclei with prominent single or multiple nucleoli.

Therapy is the same as for invasive squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma but the therapeutic results were poor.

We report a case of glassy cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix.
